AL BUTTASELLA could use cookies to offer its users personalized services. The cookies used can be of various types depending on the purpose and intended use.
WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text strings that the websites visited by the user send to their terminal (usually to the browser), where they are stored to be retransmitted to the same sites during the user's next visit. While navigating a site, the user may receive cookies on their terminal that are sent by different sites or web servers (so-called "third parties"), which may contain some elements (such as images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages of other domains) present on the site being visited.
Two main categories are identified: "technical" cookies and "profiling" cookies.
a) Technical cookies
are those used solely for "carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or insofar as this is strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide that service" (art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Personal Data Protection Code). They are not used for further purposes and are usually installed directly by the website owner or operator. They can be divided into navigation or session cookies, which ensure the normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or log in to access restricted areas); analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies when used directly by the site operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site itself; functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate based on a set of selected criteria (e.g., language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided to them.
For the installation of such cookies, the prior consent of users is not required, while the obligation to provide information in accordance with art. 13 of the Personal Data Protection Code remains, which the website operator, if only using these devices, may provide in the manner deemed most appropriate.
b) Profiling cookies
Profiling cookies are intended to create user profiles and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing the network. European and Italian regulations require that users be properly informed about their use and give their valid consent.
Article 122 of the Code refers to them, providing that "the storage of information in the terminal equipment of a contracting party or user or access to information already stored is allowed only on condition that the contracting party or user has expressed their consent after being informed with the simplified methods provided for in article 13, paragraph 3" (art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Personal Data Protection Code).
c) Third-party cookies for marketing/retargeting
Third-party cookies are used by third-party companies and allow the user to view advertising banners on other affiliate sites displaying the latest products viewed on the AL BUTTASELLA site. Furthermore, while browsing the AL BUTTASELLA site, these cookies are used to show you products that may be of interest and similar to those previously viewed.
In case of acceptance of advertising cookies, this site may present ads managed directly by Google. In this case, AL BUTTASELLA as a partner site defers the management of personal data processing to the section: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
If you do not see at the bottom of the site the banner requesting consent for the use of cookies, it means you have already consented to their use.
Consent is valid for 365 days; after this period, the site will display the banner again.
